And of course, there is always room for improvement...

So I have just added a new function that will prevent browsers from caching the page content. This way, if a member comes back a week later to view new songs on the music player, or new photos on the photo gallery they don't have to clear the browser cache or delete temporary internet files to see the new content. It automatically happens! Big smile

I've just added a function to 5 sections of the site that counts the # of times a page is viewed. This can be seen at the bottom of the following pages:

  1. About
  2. Gallery
  3. Arabic Virtual Keyboard
  4. My IP

Thanks Spanion... glad you like it. I hope to make more improvements and hopefully add more content that people can make use of.

Now that I don't have anymore homework to do (A.K.A. I graduated), I can finally get somethings done around here. After spending several nights, I have finally made long-awaited improvements to the layout of the site. The following are a few of many improvements made so far:
  1. The layout of all pages will now comply with most screen resolutions
  2. All sections of the site now share the same theme / settings with three global files: header, quick-links, and footer.
  3. The quick links have been replaced with better looking-style tabs

  4. The Arabic Virtual Keyboard has been replaced with a draggable one that relies on a Google keyboard API, and will comply with all major browsers like IE and Firefox

  5. The Music mp3 player has been replaced with a faster, better-looking one. We plan to update the list of songs every week. (Note: currently there are not many Arabic/Iraqi songs)

  6. The Photo Gallery now opens in the same page, keeping you within other content/links of IamIraqi
  7. New theme for the Photo Gallery itself
  8. The "Contact Us" form is now fully functional. This took very long to fix as I had to implement my own CDOSYS-based script to make sending emails work.
  9. Other improvements
